Describing Bali Villa as a Slice of Paradise……..Does not even come close to the Actual Experience itself…. Pictures do not do this Garden of Eden any justice and in this day of image enhancing etc, etc. This is a rare find…. Shirley is a warm effusive and fun host. Her warm and welcoming staff with the bonus (for animal lovers like ourselves) of Ridgeback Chloe presented a perfect adieu to my mother’s last few days visiting from Ireland.
Our stay in this Enchanting Bali Villa was lovely tranquillity at its BEST. A definite must for foreigners to be part of/see “one of Cape Town’s most beautiful areas”. Shirley is a wonderful host, who checks that her guests are happy and comfortable. Was also very accommodating with our late arrival time. Friendly, smiling staff to – will definitely be our Cape Town place to book for our future visits. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to stay or not, this is a place you need to book to experience pure tranquil bliss – Thank you Shirley for sharing your “Piece of Paradise” with us. It is in a great location set amongst beautiful trees, secluded but close to great restaurants and wine farms. Shirley welcomed us with a lovely cheeseboard and everything in the cottage was well set up and worked brilliantly for our family getaway. Our kids loved exploring on the beautiful property. We felt we really go great value for money and will be back
Peaceful, spacious and well equipped cottage in the heart of Constantia. Bali Cottage has everything you need for a lovely private stay. Shirley really went out of her way to make me comfortable . Really a special property with amazing views and close to numerous hiking trails. Would love to come back one day.
Very clean proper sized Cottage, beautifully located on the slopes of Table Mountain. Nice hiking and mountain bike trails on your doorstep – just across the road. Shirley was very kind and she was thinking along in every way. Very recommended for people who want a quiet beautifully surrounded cottage, but still be in close proximity of Kaapstad.
Shirley was extremely helpful and friendly and the Bali Cottage was absolutely beautiful, it felt like you were in a piece of Kirstenbosch I would love to stay here again if I come back to visit Cape
We LOVED our stay at Shirley’s place - it is cozy and private and just like being in the Garden of Eden. (Except we didn’t see any snakes, yay!) We enjoyed walking in the garden, observing the birds and flowers and feeding the tortoises. Our accommodation was clean and well-equipped with all the necessities for a self-catering stay. There was even a nice surprise when we checked in - but I won’t spoil it for you. :) Security was excellent and Shirley was an excellent hostess, available but not hovering. It was a lovely and easy drive into the city around the back side of Table Mountain, and it was just a few kilometers to Kirstenbosch Gardens and the World of Birds Sanctuary. We plan to return here on our next visit to Cape Town and recommend a stay here to you.
Small is beautiful. Stunning and unique location in an abundant sub-tropical garden of genuine beauty - and yet a short drive to shops and supermarkets, top restaurants, and beaches. Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden nearby, too. Glorious fresh water pool. Shirley was the perfect host. Memorable stay.
We had an amazing stay, Shirley and everyone that are so lovely ! Would say it’s a better location for exploring Constantia wine route but it wasn’t too bad getting into city . We absolutely loved the garden and the pool area!! Would have been more than happy spending an entire day just relaxing there with a good book !
